Welcome Queens Gateway Families.

What is a PTA:  A Parent/Teacher Association (PTA) is an organization of parents like you, and teachers, working together to support your student’s academic growth.

Membership is automatic to any parent or guardian  who has  a child currently enrolled at Queens Gateway to Health Sciences Secondary School. Together we are a powerful voice for our children. With your help, we can continue to work toward PTA's goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child.

Our Mission:

To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the  community; To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children and to encourage parent involvement.

Our objectives include:

• Develop parent leadership and build capacity for greater involvement
• Foster and encourage parent participation on all levels
• Develop a cooperative working relationship between the parents and staff of our school
• Provide opportunities and training for parents to participate in school governance and decision-making 
• Provide support and resources to the school for the benefit and educational growth of the students.

MEETINGS ARE HELD THE THIRD (3rd) WEDNESDAY,  SEPT - JUNE. THERE ARE NO MEETINGS HELD IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY.  MEETING INFORMATION IS ALWAYS SHARED 10 days prior.
